Bojanala: The North West Provincial Treasury’s Provincial Supply Chain Management has concluded its district wide outreach programme throughout the week of 26th to 29th May 2026 across various local municipalities in the Bojanala District. This initiative is primarily aimed at assisting Entrepreneurs, Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs), and SMMEs to ensure that they become compliant with the relevant government databases. Potchefstroom: MEC for Finance Kenetswe Mosenogi led discussions in which the North West Provincial Treasury and North-West University (NWU) forged a partnership to assess municipal Budget and Treasury Office capacity. RUSTENBURG: Members of the Municipal Disciplinary Boards across the province have been capacitated to handle consequence management flowing from Unauthorized, Irregular, Fruitless and Wasteful Expenditure (UIF&W). The local government sector has seen persistent accumulation of UIF&W expenditure which remains a matter of serious concern particularly where it is not adequately investigated and resolved through effective consequence management. False tender award communications purporting to be from North West Provincial Treasury HoD
North West Provincial Treasury has become aware of fraudulent messages currently circulating, in which individuals are being contacted regarding the alleged awarding of a tender identified as “BID NWP002/25 for the supply and delivery of cleaning chemicals to North West Provincial Government for a period of (03) years.” These messages falsely claim to originate from the Head of Department (HOD). The Department wishes to categorically state that these communications are fraudulent and misleading.
